HALO'S
PRIVACY POLICY

We sincerely respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the information our website might collect and how we use it.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 5, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Broadsword Communications LLC (“Broadsword,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about visitors to our websites, including but not limited to:

By using the Sites, you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit a form, opt in to a newsletter, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company, role, and any message content you provide.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Sites, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, and language settings
  • Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, exit pages, clicks, scroll depth, and the date/time of your visit
  • Approximate location: derived from your IP address (country, region, city — not precise GPS)
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4 below for details

Affiliate click tracking

The Sites contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. When you click an affiliate link, we (via our tracking partner WeCanTrack) generate a unique click identifier that is appended to the destination URL. This identifier allows us to attribute any resulting sign-up or purchase back to your visit, so the affiliate program can pay us a commission. The click identifier does not contain your name, email, or any other personally identifying information — it is a randomized string used solely for attribution.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Sites
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Send marketing communications (only if you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Measure the performance of our marketing campaigns and affiliate referrals
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers and processors who help us operate the Sites, including:
    • GoHighLevel (HighLevel, Inc.) — landing page hosting and CRM
    • Cloudflare, Inc. — content delivery and DDoS protection
    • Google LLC — analytics (Google Analytics 4) and tag management (Google Tag Manager); advertising (Google Ads)
    • Meta Platforms, Inc. — advertising and conversion measurement (Meta Pixel and Conversions API)
    • Reddit, Inc. — advertising and conversion measurement (Reddit Pixel)
    • WeCanTrack B.V. — affiliate click attribution
    • Retention.com — visitor identification for marketing follow-up (you may opt out at app.retention.com/optout)
    • AudienceLab — visitor identification for marketing follow-up
  • Affiliate partners — when you click an affiliate link, the destination provider receives the click identifier and standard referrer information so they can attribute any resulting transaction. We do not share your name or email with affiliate partners unless you submit those directly to them.
  • Legal compliance — we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Broadsword, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — if Broadsword is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Sites use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies required for the Sites to function (e.g., Cloudflare bot detection)
  • Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics _ga, _ga_*) that help us understand how visitors use the Sites
  • Advertising cookies (e.g., Meta _fbp, Google _gcl_au, Reddit pixel cookies) used to measure ad performance and serve relevant ads on third-party platforms
  • Affiliate tracking cookies (e.g., WeCanTrack _wctrck) used to attribute referrals to affiliate programs

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising at the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page, the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EU), and Google’s Ad Settings.

5. Affiliate Disclosure

The Sites contain affiliate links. When you sign up for or purchase a product through one of our links, we may earn a commission from the third-party provider at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products we believe deliver genuine value, but you should evaluate any product against your own needs before purchasing. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR § 255 Guidelines Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.

6. Your Rights

Residents of California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use it
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information (we do not sell personal information; certain advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” under California law and you may opt out by emailing us)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, and to data portability. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 45 days under CCPA; 30 days under GDPR).

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Analytics and ad measurement data is typically retained for 14 months. Marketing list data is retained until you unsubscribe.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

9. International Transfers

Broadsword is based in the United States. If you access the Sites from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Sites are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no universally accepted standard for how to respond to such signals, the Sites do not currently respond to them. We honor opt-out preferences set through industry tools listed in Section 4.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the Sites or by email if you have opted in to our list. Continued use of the Sites after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under this policy will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
